Frequently Asked Questions
Who can become an expert?
Anyone with professional experience in their field can apply. We review credentials and look for relevant industry experience, educational background, or demonstrated expertise. Most experts are working professionals, consultants, analysts, or academics.
Does it cost anything to join?
No. Expert participation is free, and experts never pay for visibility or placement. Participation terms for individual workflows depend on the workflow and agreement.
Is my identity shared with clients?
Aggregated insights can be shown without exposing detailed personal information. Public profile fields, consultation visibility, and identity-sharing terms depend on the workflow you approve.
How much time does it take?
Most experts spend 15-30 minutes per week responding to relevant surveys and requests. You choose when and how much to participate. There are no minimum requirements once your profile is approved.
How does the quality score work?
Your score is computed from published factors — like requester ratings and dispute rate — each shown with its sample size. Factors with no underlying data are reported as not yet rated, never made up, and the score recomputes from the same engagement data every time.
What happens if there is a dispute?
Engagements can be flagged for moderation and reviewed, and experts can appeal outcomes. Experts with unresolved quality issues can be delisted from the public directory — profiles are never deleted, and a successful appeal can restore your listing.
