Synthetic perspectives

A planned simulation aid for rehearsing hypotheses and finding missing questions—not a substitute for evidence from real people.

How the research interaction works

Interviewer or facilitator

No person is interviewed; a model generates simulated perspectives from disclosed prompts and assumptions

Respondent or source

No human respondent is present. The output is synthetic model content, not a customer, buyer, employee, patient, or expert response

A production synthetic-perspectives workflow is not available. Any future output must remain visually and structurally separated from collected human evidence.

What works now

  • Use ordinary drafting assistance to brainstorm questions in private beta
  • Run real structured surveys for actual respondent evidence
  • Label existing demo and sample content clearly

What this option does not include

  • Synthetic respondent studies
  • Synthetic sample-size or confidence claims
  • Combining simulated and human response bases
  • Presenting model output as customer or expert proof

Good fit

  • • Future hypothesis rehearsal
  • • Finding gaps in a guide before fielding
  • • Testing analysis and reporting pipelines with labeled sample data

Bad fit

  • • Estimating demand, prevalence, willingness to pay, or customer sentiment
  • • Validating product-market fit
  • • Replacing expert, customer, employee, or patient research

How your team stays in control

Your team retains responsibility for research quality, privacy, and the final decision.

  • Permanent synthetic provenance label
  • No human sample size, confidence interval, or representativeness language
  • Separate storage and reporting bases from human evidence
  • Human review and real-research validation before decisions

How the workflow works

  1. Step 1

    Approve the protocol

Define allowed topics, bounded probes, stop conditions, escalation rules, disclosure, and consent.

  2. Step 2

    Evaluate before release

Test safety, guide adherence, bias, failure handling, provenance, and synthesis quality against human review.

  3. Step 3

    Run with disclosure

Respondents must know when an agent is interacting with them and how their data will be processed.

  4. Step 4

    Require human approval

No agent-generated synthesis becomes a finding, report, or decision without source-aware human review.
